Does everything have to be binary? Either tearing his hair out, or enjoying blackjack with hookers and blow?

If that's the way you posit the choice, then yes, tearing his hair would have been more appropriate.

But no, as far as I am concerned, simply not enjoying himself publicly quite as much would have been enough.
He could have canceled his appearance at the damn game, you know. Or at least not participating in "waves." He can do that, you know. Being the President of the United States and all.

yes, he could. but i don't take it as a disgrace and embarrassment.. he just.. did nto think it significant enough, obviously. it did not happen in teh US. YET.

I disagree.
It's a pattern with him.
When he found out his own ambassador got slaughtered, he went golfing, and then hopped on AirForce 1 for a fundraiser.
After the Paris attacks, he didn't bother going there when everyone did.

He knows exactly what he's doing. He just doesn't give a shit about the way it looks. And for a guy so image conscious as our Narcissist In Chief, not giving a shit about how it looks is not an oversight. It's an insight into him.
And the way he makes it look is embarrassing.
That damn photo is an embarrassment.
When I see it, I want to ape those Code Pink hypocrites from a decade ago and yell "That man does not represent me or my country!"
